Another huge indication that Triple H has re-signed him

A popular theory circulating amongst fans right now is that Johnny Gargano is going to be returning to WWE.

Gargano was a favourite of Triple H during the multi-time WWE Champion’s time running NXT, but he left WWE in December 2021.

Johnny hasn’t wrestled for another promotion since, and now Triple H is Head of Creative for WWE’s main roster, the door seems to have open for him to return.

Some thought he’d even return during last night’s episode of Raw, given that his long-time tag team partner Ciampa was involved in a high-profile title match, but that didn’t end up happening.

However, a couple of hours before the show, a big update emerged on Gargano’s potential return to WWE, and it should come as pretty good news to those that want to see him return.

Fightful Select is reporting that WWE has made contact with Gargano recently to speak about potentially coming back to the company.

In fact, the report notes that Shawn Michaels was asked to reach out to Gargano shortly after Vince McMahon’s retirement from WWE.

For those of you asking about Johnny Gargano, Fightful has heard at the very least that Shawn Michaels was tasked with reaching out to Gargano shortly after the turnover in management

There’s no word on how the talks went, but it’s definitely interesting to note that WWE wants Gargano back, and decided to have Michaels start those talks.

For what it’s worth, Fightful noted in the same report that Dexter Lumis was also in talks to return to WWE, and he ended up appearing on last night’s episode of Raw.

There’s no word on what WWE has plans for Gargano, and when a potential return may take place, but it’s definitely worth noting that conversations are underway.

Triple H has displayed a willingness to bring back ex-WWE stars who were released during the latter part of Vince’s tenure, with Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Dakota Kai and the aforementioned Lumis returning since SummerSlam.

Along with that, reports have indicated that Sasha Banks and Naomi have both agreed deals to return to WWE following their explosive walkout in May, which you can read more about by clicking here.
