Charlotte Flair’s emotional reaction to shock WWE walkout

Charlotte Flair has finally responded to Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of WWE back in May.

Before the May 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, it had emerged that Sasha Banks and Naomi had both walked out of the arena, refusing to participate in the show.

The pair were unhappy with their booking as Women’s Tag Team Champions, and the issues they had resulted in them walking out of the company.

Shortly after, reports stated that Banks and Naomi had actually left WWE, either at the expiration of their contracts or after being released.

Due to the nature of the situation, WWE talent has largely remained silent over Sasha and Naomi’s walkout, at least until now.

Speaking to Stone Cold Steve Austin on his podcast, which has just dropped on the WWE Network, Charlotte Flair was asked for her thoughts on the matter,

Flair explained that she can’t speak to the situation directly, as she hasn’t been at TV since early May, but stressed that she doesn’t feel comfortable with the thought that she’d never wrestle Sasha again.

I don’t know what happened, but what I can say is I can’t imagine never wrestling Sasha again. That would be hard for me to compartmentalize. We started together.

She then went on to say that she feels as if she has unfinished business with Naomi, again stressing that she wants to work with the former SmackDown Women’s Champion again too.

With Trin (Naomi), we just had a hell of a match on SmackDown and I think there’s unfinished business there because of circumstances and storylines.

However, ever being the professional, Charlotte concluded by again stating that she hasn’t been at TV, so didn’t feel comfortable speaking more about the specifics of the matter.

For me, I just can’t imagine not working with them, but in terms of what they’re going through, it’s not my place to speak on behalf of the company or them, because I’m not there right now.

You can listen to Charlotte’s full comments, as well as the thoughts of Stone Cold Steve Austin, by watching the video below.

It looks like Charlotte is going to get her wish, as reports state that following Vince McMahon’s retirement, Banks and Naomi agreed deals to return to WWE.

The pair, who are both said to be favourites of Triple H, should be returning to TV sometime soon to work under the new Head of Creative, at least if reports are to be believed.
