Clip of WWE stars in 2020 shows how far they’ve come

Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan are now two of WWE’s top female stars, reigning as the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champions respectively.

However, things weren’t always rosy for Morgan and Belair within WWE, as the pair had to work incredibly hard to get to where they are now.

Fans have even been reminded of that fact as footage has resurfaced online from one of Liv and Bianca’s matches from 2020.

How are Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair doing in WWE?

As we’ve noted, Morgan is the reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion, having beaten Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank after cashing-in her Money in the Bank briefcase.

She retained her title over Rousey at SummerSlam and then Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle, with another showdown with Ronda set for Extreme Rules on October 8.

As for Bianca, she took the Raw Women’s Championship off Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38, and is now locked in a feud with Bayley, who returned to WWE after over a year out with injury at SummerSlam.

Both women are on top of WWE right now, but as the embedded footage below shows, that wasn’t always the case.

Video: Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair wrestling on Main Event in September 2020

Morgan and Belair shared the ring for a match on the September 24 episode of Main Event in 2020, and footage of the match has just resurfaced online.

Fans have pointed out just how far the two women have come in two years, with both going from struggling to get onto Raw, to now being the top champions for their respective brands.

Below is a selection of tweets from fans on the matter, with many praising Liv and Bianca for the hard work that has enabled them to completely change their fortunes over the last two years.

Plans for Survivor Series

As of right now, the plans that WWE has for Liv and Bianca at Survivor Series are unclear, but a match between the two at the Premium Live Event is quite likely.

If Belair and Morgan retain their titles in their respective matches by the time the show comes around at the end of November, then a one-on-one match between the two should happen.

This could be a significant moment for the pair, who just two years ago, were wrestling on Main Event because they were struggling to get onto TV.

It’s worth noting that a match between Morgan and Belair happening at Survivor Series also hinges on whether WWE continues to take the show down the ‘Raw v SmackDown’ path that we’ve seen since 2016.
