Seth Rollins absolutely ruined Riddle by referencing failed UFC career

The feud between Riddle and Seth Rollins in WWE is really heating up right now.

Rollins was set to go one-on-one with Riddle at SummerSlam on July 30, but just days before the show, WWE called the match off.

The decision was made to delay the match due to “creative changes”, with WWE announcing that Riddle was injured.

At the show instead, Rollins attacked Riddle, and the former NXT Tag Team Champion hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since as he sells the injuries.

However, Rollins has promoted the feud on his own, and to his credit, the former Universal Champion has been doing a stellar job.

That continued on last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, with Seth cutting a scathing promo about his rival.

Rollins beat Angelo Dawkins in a back-and-forth match on the show, and was then interviewed by Kevin Patrick later on in the show to promote his Riddle feud.

During the promo, Seth referenced his rival’s failed UFC career, telling fans to ask Dana White about how Riddle likes to flush his career opportunities down the toilet.

Riddle is good at flushing his potential down the toilet, just ask Dana White

You can actually listen to the exert from Rollins’ promo below, with the killer line featuring.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has provided some much-needed context to Rollins’ comments, explaining what went down between the UFC and Riddle.

Dana White fired Riddle from the UFC while he was on the middle of a four-fight winning streak, which Sean explains is pretty rare.

Riddle tested positive for cannabis after two of his fights, so the results of those got overturned, and then Dana went on a tirade and fired some shots at Riddle in subsequent interviews he did.

I wanna know where this rocket scientist is gonna go and make 100k a year

Things worked out pretty well for Riddle, and the former UFC star is probably earning more than $100,000 now that he’s one of WWE’s top Superstars, so things seemed to work out well for both parties.

Riddle is set to return to WWE TV next week, with it being promoted on last night’s show that an exclusive interview with air with the former United States Champion.

You can watch Riddle every single week live on Monday Night Raw in the US on the USA Network and over here in the UK on BT Sport.
