Sheamus’ chest looked raw after Gunther battle

WWE Clash at the Castle took place this evening from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, and one of the featured bouts saw Sheamus face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

The match itself was an intense back-and-forth affair that saw Gunther take the win with a hellacious lariat to regain his gold in Cardiff.

As is usually the case with Gunther matches, his opponent would take a lot of chops to the chest, and Sheamus certainly looked worse for wear backstage after the bout.

As you can see by the tweet below, the Irish Superstar was left battered and bruised during the battle with the Austrian behemoth.

Fans inside the Principality Stadium gave the master of the Brogue Kick a standing ovation following the contest, and he certainly earned his pay tonight!

It is not confirmed whether or not we will see a rematch between the two European greats, but with the reformation of IMPERIUM to combat the Brawling Brutes, we will at the very least see a six-man tag team match at some point in the near future.
