The Rock includes The Undertaker in surprise three-way tie

The Rock raised a few eyebrows when he was asked to name his WWE Mount Rushmore back in December 2021.

WWE Superstars naming their Mount Rushmores always usually sparks a debate, and The Rock doing it was no exception.

Back in December of last year, The Rock responded to a tweet from FITE by listing his Mount Rushmore, taking a spin on the traditional format.

The Rock named three names as certainties in his Mount Rushmore, and then included a three-way tie for the fourth and final spot.

As for the three shoe-ins, The Rock named his long-time rival Stone Cold Steve Austin, his WrestleMania X8 opponent Ric Flair, and multi-time WWE Champion Hulk Hogan.

The Rock couldn’t decide on who to put in the fourth spot, so as you can see above, named The Undertaker, Jackie Fargo and Pat Patterson as a three-way tie for the final position.

Dwayne Johnson namedropped himself and Dusty Rhodes as people “in the back”, suggesting he was close to including himself in his Mount Rushmore, which would have been quite something.

This was just The Rock’s latest Mount Rusmore, with the multi-time WWE Champion and Hollywood megastar including some other names when asked the question previously.

Rocky has included the likes of Bruno Sammartino and Randy Savage in his Mount Rushmore previously, both of whom didn’t feature on his list when asked the question last year.

The same can be said for Dusty Rhodes, who The Rock has included before, but as we’ve already covered, the 50-year-old did mention Dusty in his tweet this time around.

Mount Rushmores have been a hotly debated topic in wrestling over the last few weeks, with John Cena raising a few eyebrows when he gave his earlier this month.

Also taking a spin on the usual format, Cena named a one-person Mount Rushmore when asked the question earlier this month, only naming ex-WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon.

Given that Vince wasn’t a full-time wrestler, some fans disagreed with John Cena’s solo pick, but one can’t dispute the impact that McMahon had on WWE and even the wrestling industry as a whole.

Back to The Rock, and reports state that WWE is 100% still going to try and bring him back for a big match at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023 with his cousin, Roman Reigns, despite Vince’s retirement.
