WWE fans think they’ve figured out two more ex-stars that will return soon

The Good Brothers could be on their way back to WWE, at least some of the promotion’s fans believe that’s the case.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were two of the first WWE Superstars to be released by the company at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a cost-cutting measure.

The talented tag team then went on to work for the likes of IMPACT Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling, but they’re believed to be approaching free agency.

Fightful Select is reporting that the former Raw Tag Team Champions will be finishing up with IMPACT Wrestling at the end of the tapings this weekend.

The report then notes that the pair are expected to be in Japan to work some shows with NJPW in September, but by that point, they’ll essentially be free agents.

We’ve learned some more specifics on their agreements. The Good Brothers will remain with IMPACT until through the August 26 & 27 tapings in Dallas, Texas. In addition to that, they’ll be heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling for a couple of weeks in September, but will be contractually free agents by then.

The report then goes on to explain that while Gallows and Anderson will be free agents by that stage, they have agreed to work NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom show in January 2023.

We’d heard in the past they’d agreed to do some work with New Japan Pro Wrestling through the 2023 Wrestle Kingdom shows.

After the news broke, fans immediately took to Twitter to speculate that the tag team could be heading back to WWE once they’re contractually able to do so.

Over the last few weeks, since Triple H took over as Head of Creative, we’ve seen several former WWE Superstars make their returns, including Karrion Kross, Hit Row, Dakota Kai and Dexter Lumis.

That continued during last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, with Johnny Gargano returning to WWE during the show.

With the pair now being free agents, and with Vince McMahon out of WWE following his retirement, fans really do believe that the Good Brothers are heading back, as you can see below.
