Triple H could be going back to the NXT well once more with rumours of another possible WWE comeback for one of his former black and gold stars.
Since taking over as head of creative from Vince McMahon in July, Triple H has overseen a number of changes in WWE. As the company’s new figurehead, the 53-year-old has already bought back several names onto Raw and SmackDown that had previously been released from the company.
So far we have seen Triple H bring back Dakota Kai, Scarlett, Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis, Hit Row and Johnny Gargano in just the few short weeks he’s been in charge. The Game has also been reunited with long-time colleague Road Dogg, who has returned in an executive role behind the scenes.
Now, speaking on We’re Live Pal, Andrew Zarian has suggested that the latest name who could possibly make a WWE comeback is Bronson Reed, who currently goes under the name JONAH.
I’ve heard one name over the last few weeks and that’s JONAH. Great G1 [Climax], I talked to a friend over there casually in Connecticut…he’s a name. Bronson Reed got the sh*t end of the stick with his positioning. He’s very good, he has the size, he had this awesome entrance with the background.
I don’t know him at all personally. I don’t know if anything behind the scenes happened, anything beyond that, but I can tell you there are people very interested in him because of his talent, his performance in the G1. He’s a name that people are interested in. I don’t know what his deal is, but he has come up as a name that I’ve heard.
Whilst in NXT Bronson Reed was a popular figure and is a former North American Champion, defeating Johnny Gargano to win the gold in a steel cage match during an episode of NXT in May last year.
He was let go by WWE in August 2021 and has since competed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and in Impact, but now could be the latest name to be brought back to the company.
